Best trekking paths near Sorrento: Path of Gods
The Path of Gods is one of the most famous and spectacular trekking path in the Amalfi coast, it’s not so difficult, and it permit to the trekker to view all the splendor of the Amalfi Coast!

Best trekking paths near Sorrento: Valle Delle Ferriere
This is one of our favourite trekking path in the Amalfi Coast!
The Valle delle Ferriere owes its name to the presence inside it of an ancient paper mill, and is characterized by a thick vegetation, similar to a tropical vegetation, thanks to the micro-clima that the valley has.
In the valley there is a river, that creates three waterfalls along its path.
In this trekking path, you can also see some Otters, Frogs, and an ancient variety of fern, that grows only in this area.
Best trekking paths near Sorrento: Baths of Queen Giovanna
We’ve already spoken about this path in this article, where we enlisted all the photographic spots in the Sorrento Peninsula.
This is a beautiful place, where you can take a bath in the beautiful sea, explore the area, admire the panorama, or the ancient ruins of Villa di Pollio Felice.
To reach this zone, there is a small trekking path (very small, and very easy).
This is a very interesting trekking path, starting to Meta (via Grottelle), and, through an ancient road, arriving to Arola.
At the end of the path you will be arrived to the “Camaldoli belvedere”, where you will find a beautiful view of all the Sorrento Peninsula.
Best trekking paths near Sorrento: The Syrenuse Trail – starting from Sant’Agata
The Sirenuse Trail takes its name from the three islands of Li Galli, from here the sirens tempted Ulysses with their charming voice.
This beautiful trekking path starts from Sant’Agata (we have already spoken about Sant’Agata here), and permit you to view the beautiful panorama of all the Amalfi Coast, Capri, and Li Galli!
You can make this trek all year round, the trail is not difficult and is easily recognizable thanks to the blue symbol of the three islands that identifies it. Winding along terracings, valleys and cliffs, it is for the most part on dirt road: you will cross orchards and olive groves, maquis, garrigue, oak, chestnut, pinewood; it has a wide variety of shrubs and flowers and an exceptional bloom in spring.
As any circular route, you can do it in the direction you prefer. The trail also lends itself to many variations, could be shortened, or integrated with other routes.

Best trekking paths near Sorrento: Urban Trekking in Meta
Meta is an ancient fishing village, famous for its beaches (we have already spoken about the most beautiful beaches near Sorrento here).
Meta is also rich of history, and rich of charm, and you can explore it from it’s top to the beach.
One of the most ancient paths of Meta is Via Olivari, that starts from the “Casale” area (the historic centre of Meta), and arriving to Scutolo (where you can admire a beautiful panorama of the all Sorrento Peninsula). Once in Scutolo you can redirect yourself towards Meta, and follow “Vico Casa Miccio”, a picturesque alley that bring you to Casale.
In Meta you can also follow the “Passeggiata Meta-Alimuri”, a panoramic sea-side path.
Best trekking paths near Sorrento: Urban Trekking from Sorrento to Massa Lubrense
Another beautiful Urban Trekking Path is the one that starts to Sorrento, and lead to Massa Lubrense!
This Path starts from the Hotel Capodimonte (this Hotel is enlisted in our “best Hotels in Sorrento” list), and through an ancient path, will lead you to Massa Lubrense.
Once in Massa Lubrense, you can come back to Sorrento taking a bus, a private transfer, or taking another path that starts near the center of Massa, and will lead you at the starting point.
How to reach these paths:
To reach these paths, you can use the public transport (they usually are very crowded), or usa a Taxi/Transfer.
Some of the paths indicated are also reachable by feet, since they starts in the center of the city, such as the Syrenuse, the Meta urban trekking, the Sorrento Urban Trekking ecc.
