In this article we explain How to reach Rome city center, form the Rome airport of Fiumicino!
Fiumicino airport is the largest airport in Rome and it is here that most national and international flights arrive and depart. Once you arrive at the airport and retrieve any baggage, the first thing to do, unless you are staying in Fiumicino, is to get tickets to reach the center of Rome.
There are so many solutions, as there are trains, numerous bus companies and other valid solutions. Tickets can be purchased either online before leaving, either directly on the spot, in the agencies or on board the vehicle.
There are three trains connecting the Rome airport to the center, but the cheapest is the regional one. Travel from 6 am to 11:30 in the evening, with departures every 15 minutes. It costs 8 euros and makes 10 stops, including Roma Ostiense and Roma Tiburtina.
Much faster is the Leonardo Express which, by not making stops before the Termini station, arrives at the destination in half an hour. Its cost, however, is 14 euros. Twice a day passes a Frecciargento that comes to Termini but, even if you book earlier, it is difficult to find the ticket for less than 18 euros.
As for the buses, there are no less than 5 companies that make transfers to and from the Rome airport and costs vary from 4 to 8 euros. The cheapest ones are Terravision and Schiaffini but, if you arrive before 6 and a half or after 21.50, only the first is available. Until midnight and a half, however, you can only find the Sit Bus shuttle that, at a cost of 8 euros, goes up to Piazza Cavour and Termini Station. The other two companies are Tam Bus and Cotral, which cost 6 and 7 euros respectively. The first arrives at the Termini and Ostiense stations, the second to those of Magliana and Cornelia.
Arriving in a new country can be a stressful experience. Even if you are familiar with the destination, the hassle of customs, baggage claim, and the hassle for taxis can take its toll. Take the stress out of your arrival, or departure from Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport or Ciampino Airport, and pre-book an executive transfer private to you.
Avoid the long lines for taxis or the hassle of navigating the public transport system with heavy bags. Your VIP transfer includes professional, bilingual drivers at prices that are fixed for any destination in Rome. So, there will be no surprises on board, no hidden costs, and no trouble with an unreliable driver.
You will be welcomed on arrival and delivered direct to your hotel or address in the city centre. Luxury vehicles are available for 1 to 8 passengers for maximum comfort.
